Humana promotes Mark Kent to lead Florida clinics

Business  Journal, South Florida. Humana promotes Mark Kent to regional president of its primary care health clinics throughout Florida.

Kent joined Humana (NYSE: HUM) in 2011 to lead CAC-Florida Medical Centers, which has 19 locations. The new job gives him responsibility for the Humana-owned centers under the MetCare and Continucare brands, which have 18 and 19 offices, respectively. These were acquired through an acquisition in 2012.

Kent started with Humana in 2004.

“In just a few short years, Mark has made a significant contribution to improving and growing our CAC-Florida Medical Centers,” said Dr. Jaewon Ryu, Humana health services segment VP, in a news release. “We’re confident he will be a great asset in his expanded role as Humana continues our focus on integrated health and improving the well-being of the patients who visit our medical centers.”

The Humana-owned clinics serve the Medicare Advantage members in the Humana and CarePlus Health Plans HMOs.
