2014Humana Promotes CAC-Florida Medical Centers CEO Mark Kent to Regional President
Business Wire, MIAMI. Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) announced today that CAC-Florida Medical Centers (CAC) CEO Mark Kent’s position has been expanded to Regional President with oversight of all Humana-owned, Florida-based primary care practices, including CAC, MetCare and Continucare.
Under Kent’s leadership, CAC has grown to 19 full-service, multi-specialty medical centers, expanding its South Florida presence into Broward County, opening two new centers in Tampa and increasing its Orlando footprint to three centers.
Kent reports to Louisville-based Jaewon Ryu, MD, JD, who was named Humana’s Health Services Segment Vice President and President of Integrated Care Delivery on Jan. 6, 2014.
Prior to assuming his role at CAC in November 2011, Kent spent nearly seven years with Humana in South Florida and at the company’s corporate headquarters in Louisville, KY, in various strategic, operational and business development roles.
“In just a few short years, Mark has made a significant contribution to improving and growing our CAC-Florida Medical Centers,” said Dr. Ryu. “We’re confident he will be a great asset in his expanded role as Humana continues our focus on integrated health and improving the well-being of the patients who visit our medical centers.”
